On Twitter, Lake called the first new Remedy Entertainment game the company’s “most ambitious one yet” and said that it is a triple-A game that is now in pre-production. The other game, said Lake, is “a new, smaller-scale project set in the same franchise.” If the first game is in pre-production then fans shouldn’t expect to see anything from it for a while.

Lake’s tweet also confirms that the game will be available on next-generation consoles and PC. Only a few games have been confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X such as PS5 launch title Godfall and Xbox Series X launch title Halo Infinite. Remedy has a huge number of fans who will be glad that the company is developing something potentially exciting for the new consoles.
It also means that the games won’t be Epic Games Store exclusives. It’s unclear if the games will be available on Steam as Epic Games is publishing them, but the Epic Games Store won’t be the only way that gamers will be able to enjoy them.
However, fans will also be wondering how Remedy can make something better than Control. Fans enjoyed Control’s graphics and gameplay and reviews of the game were incredibly positive. It may be difficult for Remedy to make something as good as Control again but with Epic Games giving it the money to make what it wants, it is possible.
