The brothers are primary suspects in an alleged assault that took place around 7:30 p.m. Saturday outside a central Phoenix gym, unnamed sources told the television station. Police only confirmed that they are investigating an assault and declined to release the names of the suspects.

The Suns declined to comment.

Marcus and Markieff both played Wednesday night in a win over the Wizards.

They signed separate contract extensions with Phoenix in the offseason totaling $52 million for identical four-year terms. The brothers played three seasons together in Kansas before being drafted back-to-back in 2011, Markieff 13th overall to the Suns and Marcus 14th overall to the Rockets. 

Marcus was later traded to the Suns in 2013.
