According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, Smith will transfer within the ACC and trade in his Hokies jersey for one from Georgia Tech.

The 6-1 guard averaged a team-high 13.4 points per game this season, shooting just under 43 percent from the 3-point line. He began his career at UNC-Wilmington before transferring to Virginia Tech before the 2013-14 season.
Smith, who is set to graduate in May, will be eligible to play immediately at Georgia Tech.
